Wormcast w/Jennifer Pransky

The Wormcast episode that I chose to listen to is titled “Jennifer Pransky- Head of Content Angel FC.” I was initially drawn to this episode because of Pransky’s affiliation with Angel FC, as I am fairly familiar with the NWSL and a big USWNT fan. Then once I saw that she was the head of content, I felt that it would be a perfect listen for me. I learned early on in the episode that Worm and Pransky created a relationship during their time at Fox. They reminisced on many of their projects done through the network, specifically highlighting just how involved Pransky was on the production elements of these meaningful projects. When remarking on these variety of projects, something they promoted was how important it is to try a variety of different things. Through that trial and error, Pransky was able to evolve as a creator from being assigned undesirable roles to becoming one of the network’s key contributors. A component that I really appreciated about Pransky’s professional development was how much she prioritized equal treatment. She even brings up the quote “we all put on our pants the same way,” and elaborates on how treating people with Gucci pants as proportionately as those with Old Navy pants makes all the difference. Both individuals in that circumstance are one target in Pransky’s eyes: people she needs to get excited about her project. I also had a great deal of respect for her interest in service. As a USWNT fan, it made me smile to hear about her talking about a Fox Sports segment done with Normandy veterans during the World Cup. I remember watching that video and shedding a tear or two, so it was very cool to hear how much it impacted her, as the creator, as well. The episode itself was very well done to portray this kind of quality information, and I hope to recognize and appreciate more of Pransky’s work at Angel City when I tune into their games.
